This study uses the "positioning", "process" and "path" aspects of the dynamic capability perspective, and divides the stages according to "time sequence", to explore how enterprises adjust their organizational structure and practices in order to enhance their competitive advantages in a rapidly changing environment. Adapt to changing environments. This study uses a single case study to summarize the 35-year development process of Lion Tourism; summarizes the "events" that occurred in the "time sequence" into the perspective of dynamic capabilities, and explains how Lion Tourism responds to opportunities, advances deployment, and quickly adjusts Organizational structure and development strategy to ensure continuous growth and competitive advantage. Dynamic capabilities are more suitable for application in industries with rapidly changing environments. However, through the events experienced by the case companies, the theoretical model of the empirical dynamic capabilities’ viewpoint can be used as a basis for academic research models. Moreover, the case can be used as a reference for other travel industry peers. It can also determine the direction of industrial practice and provide a reference for managers' strategic operations. The paper concludes with theoretical and practical implications, dynamic capability testing, and future research recommendations.
Shieh-Liang Chen Kuo-Liang Chen Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Technology, Innovation and Management (IJTIM) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 1 15 10.54489/ijtim.v3i2.250 Employing Advanced Deep Learning Technology for the Detection of Kidney Stones in Unenhanced Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging: A Model-Based Approach https://journals.gaftim.com/index.php/ijtim/article/view/281
Kidney stones are currently considered a very common disease and recent studies have shown a tendency for the incidence of this disease to increase in recent years. The disease is recognized as a serious threat to the population's health because it is associated with other serious illnesses that can greatly compromise people's quality of life. The development of technologies and strategies aimed at aiding the diagnosis and treatment of this disease has the potential to improve the quality and effectiveness of services provided by health professionals. Diagnosis based on medical images has been one of the main tools for diagnosing kidney stones and Deep Learning techniques have been widely proposed to perform this task. This study proposes a Deep Learning model for detecting kidney stones in computed tomography images. The model was trained with a dataset composed of images obtained from individuals who underwent examinations to analyze diseases in the urinary system. The model achieved an accuracy rate of 96.20% in its predictions and proved to be a suitable tool for treating the problem in question. The results obtained in this study demonstrate the potential of Deep Learning techniques as tools to help improve healthcare procedures related to imaging diagnosis.
Rodrigo Alexandre Dos Santos Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Technology, Innovation and Management (IJTIM) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 16 21 10.54489/ijtim.v3i2.281 Emphasizing Organizational Resilience: Influence of Environmental Uncertainty and Stress Management on Project Management and Organizational Success https://journals.gaftim.com/index.php/ijtim/article/view/302
An excellent project management strategy is essential for organizational success in the fiercely competitive and constantly changing food manufacturing industry. In this industry, project managers frequently deal with a great deal of environmental unpredictability, which can affect their stress levels and, in turn, their performance. This study employs quantitative analysis through SmartPLS 4.0 to investigate the relationship between environmental uncertainty, stress management, project manager performance, and overall organizational success in the context of the food manufacturing industry. A comprehensive survey was conducted within the food manufacturing sector, encompassing a population of project managers. A stratified random sampling approach yielded a sample size of 218 respondents, who provided data on environmental uncertainty, stress management practices, and self-reported performance as project managers. SmartPLS 4.0 was employed for data analysis, enabling structural equation modeling to examine the relationships between these variables. The quantitative analysis reveals significant correlations between environmental uncertainty and project manager stress levels within the food manufacturing industry. Importantly, stress management practices were found to act as a crucial mediator in this relationship. Project managers who effectively manage stress reported enhanced performance outcomes, contributing to organizational success. These findings underscore the significance of proactive stress management strategies in mitigating the adverse effects of environmental uncertainty.
Sraidi Najla El Gharbaoui Bouteïna Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Technology, Innovation and Management (IJTIM) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 22 29 10.54489/ijtim.v3i2.302 Process Visibility and Work Stress: Exposure the relationship with Service Quality to attain Customer Satisfaction in Hospitality Industry https://journals.gaftim.com/index.php/ijtim/article/view/301
This study investigates the relationship between process visibility, work stress management practices, service quality, and their collective influence on customer satisfaction within service-oriented industries. Employing a comprehensive research framework, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the study examines how the level of process visibility affects employees' stress levels, and subsequently, the quality-of-service delivery. This empirical study employs a descriptive research design, employing the advanced statistical tool SmartPLS 4.0, to investigate the relationship between process visibility, work stress, and service quality in the context of the vibrant hospitality sector in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With a robust sample size of 246 respondents drawn from top hotels and restaurants in Dubai, this research delves into the factors that shape service quality within this dynamic and competitive industry. The research's findings are intended to make a substantial impact on both academia and business. It offers useful insights for service managers and policymakers by illuminating the complex relationships between process visibility, job stress management, service quality, and customer happiness. The findings provide research-based recommendations for boosting service quality through process visibility optimisation and the application of efficient stress management techniques. In the end, our research aims to support service organisations in developing strategies that not only meet but also surpass consumer expectations, promoting long-term success and sustained customer happiness.
Edwin Ramirez-Asís Inès Gharbi Copyright (c) 2023 International Journal of Technology, Innovation and Management (IJTIM) 2023-12-22 2023-12-22 3 2 30 38 10.54489/ijtim.v3i2.301 Advancing Project Management Methodologies: An In-Depth Analysis of Jira in Managerial and Developmental Contexts https://journals.gaftim.com/index.php/ijtim/article/view/303
A study was conducted to examine the satisfaction levels of project teams with the Jira mobile application, a leading project management tool, in Saudi Arabian companies. Through usability tests and surveys, the research addresses three key questions related to the satisfaction of project managers and developers with Jira mobile application and improve their experiences. While most project managers found Jira to be an efficient and easy-to-use tool, some suggestions for improvements were made, including the ability to edit, delete, and clone projects as well as a resource management ability. Similarly, developers have reported that Jira has significantly improved task tracking and status monitoring, while also suggesting improved mobile functionality. Usability testing and surveys highlighted specific issues with Jira's mobile application and provided recommendations for enhancement.
