Preface, I.J. BAS, 5.1, 2025

Welcome to the first issue of the fifth volume of the "International Journal of Business Analytics and Security" (IJBAS). This edition reflects the accelerating convergence of artificial intelligence, project management, and digital governance across diverse sectors, offering readers a rich cross-section of how organizations are adapting to intelligent, data-driven transformation. Several articles examine AI's expanding role in project leadership and decision-making, including "AI-Enabled Predictive Risk Analytics for Enhanced Project Decision-Making," which applies the CPMAI framework, and "Transforming Project Reporting," which explores generative AI's contribution to automated, data-driven communication. "Navigating the Metaverse" and "The Transformative Role of Agile Practices" further examine how immersive technologies and agile methods are reshaping modern project leadership and collaboration.

Sector-specific contributions extend these themes into practice. "AI-Augmented Manufacturing" applies a CPMAI lifecycle approach to planning and scheduling efficiency, while "AI-Augmented HSE Excellence" and "AI-Driven Strategies for Community Engagement and Environmental Sustainability" address safety performance and sustainability within the oil and gas sector. Healthcare and public-sector governance are also well represented, with "Stakeholder Dynamics and Performance Outcomes" examining UAE medical project ecosystems, and "AI-Empowered Healthcare" highlighting human skills in patient-centric systems. Meanwhile, "Digital Government Digital Trust" and "Digital Happiness in Smart Banking" investigate trust, service quality, and customer experience within digital institutions.

Together, these contributions illustrate a field moving steadily from AI experimentation toward structured, accountable integration across industries. We thank our authors, reviewers, and readers for their continued support, and look forward to your engagement with this issue.
