Preface
IJCIM Vol.4 N.1 (2024)

It is our pleasure to present Volume 4, Issue 1 of the International Journal of Computations Information and Manufacturing (IJCIM). This issue reflects the journal’s mission to bridge computational intelligence, information systems, and advanced manufacturing through rigorous, practice-relevant scholarship. The contributions span timely areas including digital twins and cyber-physical production, AI-assisted scheduling and optimization, predictive maintenance and reliability analytics, additive and smart manufacturing, industrial IoT and edge/cloud integration, and sustainable operations and quality improvement. Across the papers, readers will find clear theoretical grounding coupled with solid methodological design—ranging from analytical modeling and simulation to data-driven experiments and case-based validation—each aiming to solve real industrial challenges: improving throughput, reducing waste, enhancing resilience, and enabling safer, greener factories. We believe these studies advance the state of the art while keeping a strong line of sight to managerial impact and engineering practicality. We extend our sincere thanks to the authors for their thoughtful work, to our reviewers for their careful and constructive evaluations, and to the editorial team for their continuous dedication. We invite researchers and practitioners alike to engage with this issue, challenge assumptions, and build upon its insights in future work.
