Climate change, pollution, soil degradation and loss of ecosystems are expanding due to human daily environmentally harmful actives. To address these environmental issues communities must adopt sustainable behaviors. Education is known as one of the crucial factors to improve behaviours. Moreover, businesses were identified as a key player in achieving sustainability goals, integration sustainable business practices is compulsory to preserve the ecosystem and not affect next generations lives and health. This paper aims to connect all these factors to enhance sustainability and support achieving global sustainability goals. It will focus in identifying the the role of education in enhancing business owners’ awareness and businesses engagement in environmental sustainability practices, and to identify the challenges businesses face in integrating these practices. Mixed approach will be used by applying both qualitative and quantitative methos. This result of this research is expected to show a positive relation between education and its impact in enhancing the sustainability business practices. It suggests that a continuous effort to enhance sustainability and environmental education can lead to better engagement in sustainable business practices. In addition, the findings are expected to identify some major challenges that face business owners in integrating business practices, such as lack of knowledge, cultural barriers and sustainable suppliers.
In general, education is a key factor to maintain a sustainable future and preserve our health and save the ecosystem. The paper finally suggests the significant role of continuous efforts in integrating sustainable education and implement sustainable business practices.
